These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by South Coast Paint Protection. By booking a service with us, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms.
1. Bookings & Quotes
All quotes provided are estimates based on the information supplied by the customer at the time of enquiry.
Final pricing may vary if the vehicle condition, size, or scope of work differs from the details originally provided.
Quotes remain valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.
A booking is only confirmed once a date and time has been agreed and, where required, a deposit has been received.
2. Deposits & Payments
Certain services such as ceramic coatings, paint protection film (PPF), or larger jobs may require a booking deposit to secure the appointment.
Deposits are non-refundable if the appointment is cancelled with less than 48 hours notice.
Full payment is required upon completion of the service unless prior arrangements have been made.
South Coast Paint Protection reserves the right to retain the vehicle until payment has been made in full.
3. Vehicle Condition & Inspection
Vehicles will be inspected upon arrival prior to work commencing.
Customers must disclose any known issues including:
previous paintwork
repainted panels
body repairs
existing damage
aftermarket modifications
South Coast Paint Protection is not responsible for issues arising from previous repairs, weak paint, or poor paintwork quality.
4. Paint Correction & Detailing Expectations
Machine polishing and paint correction can significantly improve paint condition, but not all scratches or defects can be safely removed.
Some deeper defects may remain to avoid unnecessary removal of clear coat.
Results may vary depending on:
vehicle age
paint condition
previous repairs
factory paint thickness
5. Ceramic Coating Services
Ceramic coatings provide surface protection but do not make the vehicle scratch-proof.
The longevity and performance of coatings depend on:
proper maintenance
environmental conditions
washing methods
Customers are responsible for following recommended aftercare guidelines provided by South Coast Paint Protection.
Failure to maintain the coating properly may affect performance and durability.
6. Paint Protection Film (PPF)
Paint Protection Film is designed to protect painted surfaces from stone chips and minor impacts.
While PPF significantly reduces damage risk, it cannot guarantee complete prevention of all impacts or damage.
Due to the nature of installation:
small edges may be visible in certain lighting
minor imperfections may occur
film edges may be present around complex shapes
These are considered normal within the industry.
7. Window Tinting
Window tinting must comply with South Australian road regulations.
South Coast Paint Protection will install tint within legal limits unless otherwise requested by the customer.
We are not responsible for legal issues if a customer specifically requests tint outside of legal specifications.
Newly tinted windows must not be wound down for 3–5 days to allow proper curing.
8. Liability & Damage
While all care is taken when working on vehicles, South Coast Paint Protection is not liable for:
pre-existing damage
fragile or deteriorated paintwork
mechanical faults
electrical faults unrelated to our work
Customers are encouraged to remove all personal belongings from the vehicle before service.
South Coast Paint Protection is not responsible for lost or damaged personal items left inside the vehicle.
9. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Customers must provide at least 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Late cancellations may result in the loss of any booking deposit.
South Coast Paint Protection reserves the right to reschedule appointments due to:
weather conditions
equipment issues
unforeseen circumstances
10. Warranty
Where applicable, product warranties for coatings, films, or tint are provided by the product manufacturer.
Warranty coverage may be void if:
the vehicle is not maintained correctly
improper cleaning methods are used
the vehicle is involved in an accident or damage event
Full warranty details will be provided at the time of service.
11. Customer Responsibility
Customers agree to:
provide accurate information about the vehicle
ensure the vehicle is available at the agreed time
follow aftercare instructions provided
Failure to comply may affect service results or warranties.
12. Right to Refuse Service
South Coast Paint Protection reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service if:
the vehicle condition poses a risk
unsafe or unreasonable requests are made
terms and conditions are not respected
13. Changes to Terms
South Coast Paint Protection reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
Updated terms will be published on this website and apply to future bookings.
